GIS Analytics at AI Week 2026 in Milan

Our team spent time at AI Week in Milan, billed as "the European #1 artificial intelligence event". It brought together founders, researchers, and operators from across the continent, and it was a useful checkpoint on where applied AI is actually heading.

The frontier is moving fast

One keynote charted the "fastest to $300M run rate in GenAI history", with AI-native companies such as Higgsfield, Cursor, Lovable, and OpenAI reaching scale in a fraction of the time earlier software took. It was a useful reminder of why we build on the latest models rather than settling on last year's defaults: the ground genuinely shifts every few months.

Research meeting practice

A session from Sakana AI on "The AI Scientist" showed how the quality of AI-generated research improves measurably with each new model release, from GPT-4 through to the latest Claude and reasoning models. It was a clear illustration of a pattern we see in our own work: the same pipeline gets better simply by upgrading the model underneath it.

Events like this are how we stay at the frontier for our clients.
